What’s HOT / What’s NOT

Attention all artists and photographers: we are looking for high quality photos and illustrations that fit the HOT categories below. Become a part of a winning library of images:
www.photospin.com/contribute

What’s HOT this month:

*Election themed photos and illustrations.
*Hot dogs, hot dogs & hamburgers and just hamburgers on the grill.
*More variety of artwork that relates to retired people and their needs.
*More manufacturing pictures - specifically - plastic molding, resin for plastic manufacturing.
*Photos related to home health care such as nurses in home settings.

What’s NOT this month:

*Your family’s summer vacation: staying at your second cousin’s doublewide next to a freeway across from Miss Sally’s Rock Emporium and Insurance Center.
*Your collection of underwater photos shot with your disposable camera without a flash, complete with an out of focus photo of your friend giving you the thumbs up.
*Your complete collection of images from around the world shot entirely from the tour bus window. Do us all a favor and get out of the seat or at least open the window before you snap the picture.

With all the changes in the industry, PhotoSpin is seeing an increase in talented photographers disillusioned with the big three stock agencies. As a result, these photographers are submitting new, and in some cases, exclusive work to us. To honor our contributing artists we’ll be featuring them in a new series of press releases called “Meet The Artists

What’s HOT / What’s NOT

This month on What’s HOT / What’s NOT

Attention all artists and photographers: we are looking for high quality photos and illustrations that fit the HOT categories below. Become a part of a winning library of images: https://www.photospin.com/submissions.asp

What’s HOT this month:

*Migrant seasonal farm workers of the Hispanic Community (West Coast), farm/crop workers and the immigration issues surrounding the labor force of these workers
* "Green Jobs". Newly created occupations/workers in the green job industries such as solar power, energy saving, people who work on those giant windmills and in the biofuel industry, etc.
* Images that have to do with the legal/law field: a judge sitting on the bench, an attorney questioning a defendant, a court room, people swearing in, an attorney "objecting", court house steps, court house columns, etc.
*Sports: cross-country-running/track, volleyball
*Close ups of solar panels and nice shots of wind turbines

What’s NOT this month:

* Aunt Minerva's new hairdo ( looks like a bad day at the cotton candy factory)
* A day at the amusement park with out of town relatives
* My favorite 7 hours of graduations only to find out you got there late and missed the person you were hoping to see walk across the stage

With all the changes in the industry, PhotoSpin is seeing an increase in talented photographers disillusioned with the big three stock agencies. As a result, these photographers are submitting new, and in some cases, exclusive work to us. To honor our contributing artists we’ll be featuring them in a new series of press releases called “Meet The Artists” https://www.photospin.com/press_article.asp?press_id=23

What’s HOT / What’s NOT

This month on What’s HOT / What’s NOT

For those of you new to What's HOT / What's NOT, it is our effort to target our customer requests and increase our product offerings by letting artists / photographers know what type of content that we're looking for to satisfy our customers' image needs.

What’s HOT this month:

*Active senior citizens- Not just cute couples but active: swimming, golfing, dancing, shopping...enjoying life to the fullest
*Food and the people that prepare and enjoy it- Entrees, gourmet meals, ingredients. Cooks, chefs and people enjoying dining out in restaurants, having picnics, etc.
* Everyday working people- Electricians, carpet cleaners, builders, painters, plumbers, gardeners, police, firemen, EMS personal..the people that are the backbone of our business and industry.

What’s NOT this month:

*Bad travel photos- If they are boring to your family and friends why on earth would you submit them?
* Portraits of your girlfriend- The one that told you she used to be a model in the 80’s-That was painful to look at!
*Grab shots of people on the street without model releases- My personal favorite. Can we say lawsuit anyone?

What's HOT / What's NOT

Introducing: What’s HOT/ What’s NOT

In an effort to enhance our product offerings and target our customers' image requests, I thought I would introduce this new feature to our site.

The new What's Hot / What's Not section of our site will show both photographers and illustrators who are looking to make some fast cash exactly what our customers are looking for in terms of photos and illustrations. This will enable them to submit 'sought after' content and have a better chance of getting their content accepted into the PhotoSpin library.

What’s HOT this month:

* City skylines of the world- Dallas, Chicago, Moscow, Beijing, etc.
* Alternative lifestyles- Gay and Lesbian couples and families
* Ethnic families- Latino / Hispanic, Indian, Asian, etc.
* International business- India/Asia, etc.
* Restaurant- Food and dining situations

What's NOT this month:

*Clouds
*Flowers
*Snapshots of your family and friends
*Photos of people without model releases

Please keep in mind that we are a professional site and only accept topnotch work that is accompanied by model releases. We hope that you find this glimpse into What's Hot this month helpful in determining if you have the content to line your pockets with some extra cash. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll be posting other great work as well, but the work that is HOT goes up first and the work that is NOT, well, let's just say that it goes to our competitors.
So, if you want to get your work up and make some fast cash submit your best stuff to submissions@photospin.com
